Halloween: The Game All Civilians: Stats and Traits Screen by Screen
All 12 Civilians in Halloween: The Game: every attribute rating read off the character screen, with each trait named on screen and its effect quoted.
Questions answered
How many Civilians are there in Halloween: The Game?
What do the four ratings on a Civilian screen mean?
Is there a best Civilian in Halloween: The Game?
Why does this page spell the surname Calahan?
Do these ratings and trait numbers change between updates?
Which Civilian should you pick in Halloween: The Game?
Every Civilian’s own screen answers that question better than any tier list, because the game prints four attribute ratings and three named traits for each of the twelve survivors — and the creator reads each trait’s exact wording aloud as he goes.
Last verified: September 22, 2026, from the character-select screens in SIMPLYAMAZING’s twelve-Civilian walkthrough. The game shows no build number on this screen, so there is no patch ID to pin below.
On the evidence the screens themselves give: Laurie Strode is the most complete Civilian (8 / 6 / 9 / 7 — nothing below 6), Bob Simms is the hardest hitter (Capability 9), Marcus Navarro is the best looter (Resourcefulness 10), and Tanya Harrison, Alexis Purcell and Thomas Armitage share the strongest voice in town at Personality 10. If you are still learning the map, the civilian survival guide explains what those attributes are actually spent on during a match.
What does a Civilian’s character screen actually show?
Open a Civilian’s page from the roster and the screen resolves into six blocks, top to bottom:
- A
CIVILIANSheader, a large red number, and the character’s full name. - A tab strip with
INFOandBACKGROUND, switched with theL1andR1prompts. OnlyINFOis opened anywhere in the footage used here. - Four diamond pips in a fixed order: Capability, Athleticism, Personality, Resourcefulness.
- A
TRAITSrow (L3) holding exactly three named passives. The frames on this page show the three names and icons; the one-line description the game attaches to each is heard rather than seen, because the creator reads it aloud. - A
LOADOUTrow showing aSTARTING ITEMslot and aPERK DECKslot, with anACTIVE LOADOUTtag. Edit LoadoutandPrestigebuttons, plus the twelve-portrait roster strip along the bottom.
That trait text is the valuable part. Most survivor guides paraphrase abilities into vagueness; these are stated as hard percentages, so you can compare two Civilians on the same axis. The perk deck slot, by contrast, shows only an icon — the cards inside it are covered separately in the perk cards guide.
What are the stats and traits of each Civilian?
The twelve sections below follow the order the video covers them. Ratings are written Capability / Athleticism / Personality / Resourcefulness, exactly as the pips appear left to right.
Eric Dunn
6 / 3 / 6 / 8 — the lowest Athleticism pip on the roster, which is the number behind the creator’s “worst stamina in the game” line.
| Trait | Effect, as the creator reads it on camera |
|---|---|
| Hunter’s Sense | “When not terrified, see faint noise pings and highlight escapes within 25m.” |
| Fast Fingers | “Ranged weapon and flashlight reload speed is increased by 10%” |
| Brimstone Fuse | “Firecrackers you light disorient Michael 15% longer” |

Eric’s whole kit is utility for a player who cannot outrun anything — the escape-route highlight only fires while you are calm. Watch the screen at 0:46.
Richard Hawthorne
6 / 7 / 9 / 5 — a talker whose traits all hinge on a state you have to go out of your way to enter.
| Trait | Effect, as the creator reads it on camera |
|---|---|
| Affluent Partier | “Being both intoxicated and high at the same time add an additional 40% melee damage increase.” |
| Witness State | “While high, other characters up to 10 meters away have faint outlines” |
| Elusory | “Slows Stalk progress applied to you by 1%” |

Two of Richard’s three traits need him intoxicated or high, so the 40% melee bonus is a plan, not a passive. Watch at 2:32.
Jennifer Aarons
5 / 9 / 6 / 7 — the highest Athleticism pip on this page, wrapped around three traits that all work on the stalk meter.
| Trait | Effect, as the creator reads it on camera |
|---|---|
| Dreamer | “Residents you successfully interact with become 60% harder for Michael to stalk.” |
| Ghost | “Stalk degradation rate increased by 10%” |
| Survival Rage | “When Terrified, melee damage is increased by 10%” |

Dreamer’s 60% is the single largest stalk-related number on this page — it just does nothing against a Michael who never stalks. Watch at 3:12.
Tanya Harrison
4 / 6 / 10 / 5 — a full Personality pip plus two information traits.
| Trait | Effect, as the creator reads it on camera |
|---|---|
| Hi-Fi | “You see an outline on Michael when he’s within 7 meters of a noise maker you turned on.” |
| Survival Skills | “Phones within 15 meters are outlined with their status. (Green) Ready, (Yellow) On cooldown, (Red) Disabled” |
| Guardian Shadow | “Followers of yours have 10% damage reduction” |

Survival Skills is the rare trait that tells you whether a phone is usable before you walk to it — the dispatch-call loop it feeds is covered in the civilian tips guide. Watch at 3:20.
Marcus Navarro
7 / 5 / 4 / 10 — the looting specialist, and the creator’s own complaint about him is the Personality pip: “Personality sucks. He takes a while to convince people that they’re in trouble.”
| Trait | Effect, as the creator reads it on camera |
|---|---|
| Lone Wolf | “Gains a massive buff when the last civilian left alive. Talk smoother, interactions are faster, less fear, CB Radio and escape items are highlighted.” |
| Repair Expert | “Increase the chance of not consuming a repair pack by 20%” |
| Trespasser | “You can pick locked doors with a 5 second long hold interaction” |

Lone Wolf is a last-survivor trait: if your team is alive it contributes nothing, which is why his Resourcefulness is the reason to pick him. Watch at 4:24.
Lynda van der Klok
4 / 8 / 7 / 5 — built around buying time rather than winning a fight.
| Trait | Effect, as the creator reads it on camera |
|---|---|
| Reveler | “15% increase to the time of intoxication and high status effects” |
| Blinding Light | “When you blind Michael, he stays blinded for 50% longer.” |
| Fade to Black | “Hiding in hiding spots degrades stalk tiers 15% faster” |

Blinding Light’s 50% is the biggest single multiplier on this page — how much time that buys depends on the base blind, which the screen never states. Watch at 5:26.
Thomas Armitage
7 / 8 / 10 / 2 — three excellent ratings and one that is almost switched off.
| Trait | Effect, as the creator reads it on camera |
|---|---|
| Running Back | “Any direct contact or physical hit to Michael reduces your personal stalk tier.” |
| Inspiring | “Townsfolk that you tell to hide get a 20% maximum health increase.” |
| Barricade | “Doors you lock are 25% tougher to destroy” |

Running Back is the only trait here that lets you claw back a stalk tier — at the cost of hitting the killer. Watch at 6:00.
Annie Brackett
5 / 4 / 6 / 8 — a low-stat Civilian whose first trait changes what an exit needs.
| Trait | Effect, as the creator reads it on camera |
|---|---|
| Speed Kills | “Can enter and start a car with just a repair kit (no car key required), but with a much longer hold interaction.” |
| Exit Strategy | “25% increase in escape route discover distance” |
| Convincing Plea | “Incoming Cop wave timers are reduced by 10% when you fill the badge” |

Speed Kills removes the car-key requirement for the motorised exit — the route itself is walked through in the escape guide. Watch at 7:02.
Laurie Strode
8 / 6 / 9 / 7 — the flattest high spread on the roster: no pip below 6, no pip at 10.
| Trait | Effect, as the creator reads it on camera |
|---|---|
| Spatial Awareness | “When calm, residents up to 25m away are highlighted” |
| Knockout | “Michael stays down 10% longer, when you help down him” |
| Revenge | “When a resident or civilian dies within 10 meters of the you, your melee damage is increased by 2%. Stacks up to 5 times.” |

Revenge caps at 10% and only builds when people die near you — a trait that pays you for the worst thing that can happen. Watch at 7:48.
Rachel Calahan
7 / 5 / 2 / 8 — the screen spells her surname CALAHAN, matching the official roster announcement; low-resolution copies of this frame have been misread as “Calaran”.
| Trait | Effect, as the creator reads it on camera |
|---|---|
| Full Moon | “Doing damage and downing Michael causes 40% more damage to his bloodthirst.” |
| Aura of Awareness | “15% increase to personal Shape Jump prevention radius” |
| Sixth Sense | “Hear Michael breathing in Shape Jump up to 2 meters away” |

Two of Rachel’s three traits are anti-Shape-Jump tools, so her value tracks how often your Michael teleports — see the Michael Myers profile for what Shape Jump actually does. Watch at 8:48.
Alexis Purcell
2 / 8 / 10 / 5 — the bodyguard build: the worst Capability pip on the page paired with a tied-best Personality of 10.
| Trait | Effect, as the creator reads it on camera |
|---|---|
| Popular | “Your followers take 90% less damage, gain 50% less fear, and fight more aggressively to protect you.” |
| Panic Contagion | “Helping a Resident escape increases movement speed by 2%” |
| Smooth Talker | “Perfect area of the dispatch call skill check is increased by 10%” |

Popular is the trait tested live on the civilian survival tips page, where it turned two followers into a wall of bodyguards. Watch at 9:52.
Bob Simms
9 / 8 / 4 / 3 — the highest Capability pip captured on this page, and the second-weakest item luck after Thomas Armitage.
| Trait | Effect, as the creator reads it on camera |
|---|---|
| Heavyweight | “Doesn’t get full drunk effects, also loses the movement instability and noise, reduced visual impairing effects with all the benefits, reduced fear and melee boost.” |
| Lethal Pitch | “Thrown items and weapons deal 10% more damage” |
| Runner’s High | “Reduce movement penalty of exhaustion by 20%.” |

Heavyweight is the only trait on this page that removes a downside instead of adding a number — it strips the wobble and noise from being drunk. Watch at 10:48.
Which Civilian has the strongest screen?
Laid side by side, the pips stop being opinions and become a choice of job.
| Civilian | Capability | Athleticism | Personality | Resourcefulness | Traits |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Eric Dunn | 6 | 3 | 6 | 8 | Hunter’s Sense, Fast Fingers, Brimstone Fuse |
| Richard Hawthorne | 6 | 7 | 9 | 5 | Affluent Partier, Witness State, Elusory |
| Jennifer Aarons | 5 | 9 | 6 | 7 | Dreamer, Ghost, Survival Rage |
| Tanya Harrison | 4 | 6 | 10 | 5 | Hi-Fi, Survival Skills, Guardian Shadow |
| Marcus Navarro | 7 | 5 | 4 | 10 | Lone Wolf, Repair Expert, Trespasser |
| Lynda van der Klok | 4 | 8 | 7 | 5 | Reveler, Blinding Light, Fade to Black |
| Thomas Armitage | 7 | 8 | 10 | 2 | Running Back, Inspiring, Barricade |
| Annie Brackett | 5 | 4 | 6 | 8 | Speed Kills, Exit Strategy, Convincing Plea |
| Laurie Strode | 8 | 6 | 9 | 7 | Spatial Awareness, Knockout, Revenge |
| Rachel Calahan | 7 | 5 | 2 | 8 | Full Moon, Aura of Awareness, Sixth Sense |
| Alexis Purcell | 2 | 8 | 10 | 5 | Popular, Panic Contagion, Smooth Talker |
| Bob Simms | 9 | 8 | 4 | 3 | Heavyweight, Lethal Pitch, Runner’s High |
Five readings the table supports without any tier list involved:
- Highest total across the four pips: Laurie Strode at 30, and she is the only Civilian here with nothing under 6.
- Best at hitting: Bob Simms at Capability 9, ahead of Laurie at 8.
- Best at finding things: Marcus Navarro at Resourcefulness 10, with Eric Dunn, Annie Brackett and Rachel Calahan all at 8.
- The floor of the roster: three ratings of 2 — Rachel Calahan’s Personality, Thomas Armitage’s Resourcefulness and Alexis Purcell’s Capability. Each of those characters is otherwise strong, which is what makes them picks rather than upgrades.
- The ceiling: three ratings of 10 — Tanya Harrison, Alexis Purcell and Thomas Armitage on Personality, plus Marcus Navarro on Resourcefulness.
How did one creator rank the twelve Civilians?
The walkthrough is presented as a worst-to-best tier list, and it is worth carrying to your own table — but this ordering is SIMPLYAMAZING’s opinion, not a game fact. He says so in the intro: “just a disclaimer, this is just my opinion.” Several of these placements also rest on his own match experience rather than anything printed on screen.
| His place | Civilian |
|---|---|
| 1 (best) | Bob Simms |
| 2 | Alexis Purcell |
| 3 | Rachel Calahan |
| 4 | Laurie Strode |
| 5 | Annie Brackett |
| 6 | Thomas Armitage |
| 7 | Lynda van der Klok |
| 8 | Marcus Navarro |
| 9 | Tanya Harrison |
| 10 | Jennifer Aarons |
| 11 | Richard Hawthorne |
| 12 (worst) | Eric Dunn |
Notice that his list and the pips disagree in places, which is exactly why the two are kept apart on this page: Marcus Navarro holds the joint-best Resourcefulness on the roster and still sits eighth for him, because Lone Wolf only triggers when he is the last Civilian alive.
What does the character screen not tell you?
The screen is unusually generous with trait percentages and unusually quiet about everything else. Before you treat the table above as a database, note these gaps:
- The pips have no units. Capability 9 versus Capability 4 tells you the order, not the damage. There is no health value, no stamina duration in seconds, no sprint speed, and no interaction time anywhere on the screen.
- The scale is never shown. The game prints a number inside a diamond and no maximum. Ten is the highest value visible across these twelve screens, so a 1-10 scale is the reasonable inference — not a stated fact.
- The
BACKGROUNDtab is never opened. Every biography on the roster is documented from official announcements on the Heroes of Haddonfield page, not from this footage. - Unlock conditions are not shown. No lock icon, price or requirement appears on any of the twelve screens in this footage, so nothing here proves which Civilians are available to you. Edition split — including whether Richard and Alexis are Deluxe content — is answered on the editions and price page.
Prestigeis unexplained. The button is on every screen; the video never clicks it. Character level and unlock tracks are covered in the progression and customization guide.- The perk deck is an icon, not a list. Each screen shows a
PERK DECKslot with a small badge and nothing else, so trait-versus-perk overlap cannot be checked from this page. - Starting items are icons too. The
STARTING ITEMslot renders a shape per character, but the screen never names it. Item behaviour lives in the weapons and items list. - Balance moves. These are the numbers on the screens as captured on 22 September 2026. A rework would change them without changing this page’s URLs, so re-verify after a major update.

- SIMPLYAMAZING — All 12 Civilians Tier Ranked from Worst to Best | Halloween: The Game (video ID
4FJl1Towz_g, 712 s / about 11:52, roughly 11.7k views). Accessed 2026-09-22. Watch: youtube.com/watch?v=4FJl1Towz_g- Read off the screen (all twelve attribute pips and all thirty-six trait names): Eric Dunn 0:46, Richard Hawthorne 2:32, Jennifer Aarons 3:12, Tanya Harrison 3:20, Marcus Navarro 4:24, Lynda van der Klok 5:26, Thomas Armitage 6:00, Annie Brackett 7:02, Laurie Strode 7:48, Rachel Calahan 8:48, Alexis Purcell 9:52, Bob Simms 10:48. Each timestamp is the moment the character-select screen is on camera and was checked frame by frame before publishing.
- Spoken, not on screen: all thirty-six trait effect lines quoted in the tables — the creator reads the game’s own description text aloud, and the published frames carry only the trait names. Also spoken: the meaning he assigns to each attribute (Athleticism as stamina, Capability as hitting power, Personality for persuasion and police calls, Resourcefulness for looting), his worst-to-best ordering, and all judgements such as “his stamina kind of sucks”. These are labelled as his commentary wherever they appear.
- Deliberately excluded: the ranking cards at 1:40 (
#11), 2:36 (#10), 4:12 (#08), 5:23 (#7), 6:56 (#5), 7:44 (#4) and 9:46 (#2) burn a large white numeral into the top-right corner over the very same character screens. Every published frame on this page was chosen from the seconds either side of that card and re-checked corner by corner for overlay text. The intro gameplay footage also carries a small channel watermark, so nothing before the first character screen at 0:46 is used.
- Quotation policy. Trait effects in quotation marks are transcribed from the creator reading the game’s own text aloud, not lifted off a screenshot. His auto-generated captions garble parts of it, so obvious caption errors have been corrected to what he is clearly reading — “stock degration” becomes “Stalk degradation”, “town folks” becomes “Townsfolk”. Grammar that is plainly the game’s own has been left exactly as heard: Revenge’s “within 10 meters of the you” and Lone Wolf’s “when the last civilian left alive” are read that way. For punctuation and abbreviations, the game’s own screen is authoritative, not this page.
- Cross-checks. Every attribute row was compared against the creator’s spoken numbers where he gives them (Marcus 7/5/4/10, Thomas 7/8/10/2, Laurie 8/6/9/7, Rachel 7/5/2/8, Tanya and Alexis Personality 10). All agree. No third-party ranking, spreadsheet or database was consulted, no attribute number appears here that is not visible in this footage, and no trait effect appears here that the creator does not read out in it.
