Questions answered

How do you get all Michael Myers skins in Halloween: The Game?
Ten of the twelve skin screens documented here state their own condition in one line of text, and that line is the whole answer for each one: finish every Chapter Challenge for Ghost, reach Profile Prestige Level 1 for Clown, reach Michael Myers Prestige Level 1 for Scorched, finish one named challenge inside the 1978 Michael Progressive Challenge Collection for Stitched and for three of the tints, and clear a named tier inside a Passive Challenge Collection for Samhain and for the other two tints. Nothing on any of those screens mentions money, a storefront, or an edition.
What is the difference between "Reach Profile Prestige Level 1" and "Reach Michael Myers Prestige Level 1"?
The two lines are printed exactly like that under CLOWN and SCORCHED, so the game is naming two different prestige tracks — one attached to your overall profile, one attached to Michael specifically. The screens do not define either track. The only definition anywhere in this footage is on the screen headed PROFILE PRESTIGE, which says to "Attempt to complete a Prestige Challenge in time to advance your Prestige Level." Whether that page covers the profile track, the Michael track, or both is not stated.
Is the 1978 Michael Myers skin a pre-order exclusive?
That claim is spoken, not printed. The creator says at 0:31 that the skin on screen "was a pre-order Michael Myers" and that "it is only pre-order". No 1978 screen carries an exclusive, edition or pre-order label — it simply shows a Tints button. Separately, the official publisher FAQ quoted on the physical editions page calls the Phantom skin a Digital Pre-order Exclusive, so the two accounts disagree about which skin the pre-order was. Treat both as unproven by the menu itself.
Do Michael Myers skins change gameplay in Halloween: The Game?
Nothing on these screens says so. A skin screen shows the label, the name, either an action button or an unlock line, a portrait strip and a `B Back` prompt — no stat, no modifier, no perk. The special abilities live on their own tab, where SHADOW STRIKE is described as "Aim and throw a shadow knife that slows and causes temporary blindness to the victim him, giving a perfect opening to move or strike." That text belongs to the ability, not to any skin.
How many Michael Myers skins are there?
The Appearance tab shows exactly seven portraits in one row: 1978, Phantom, Ghost, Clown, Stitched, Scorched and Samhain. The 1978 skin opens a second row of at least seven flat colour swatches, six of which are named on screen as TINT 1 through TINT 6. So thirteen cosmetic screens carry a printed name here, but both rows end in left and right paging arrows that the video never uses, so this page cannot prove either row is complete.

Which Michael Myers skins are in the Killer Skins menu?

The menu answers the “how do I get it” question by itself. On every locked Michael Myers skin in Halloween: The Game, the game replaces the action button with one line of plain text naming the exact condition — no tooltip, no shop page, no external spreadsheet needed.

Last verified: September 22, 2026, from the KILLER SKINS screens in KingAlexHD’s walkthrough. No build or patch number appears anywhere on these screens, so there is no version to pin.

Thirteen cosmetic screens are named in this footage: the seven portraits on the APPEARANCE tab and six of the colour tints that the 1978 skin opens. Twelve of them are tabulated below (TINT 1 is covered in the tint section rather than the table), and ten print an unlock line; the other two are already owned on the recording account and show a button instead.

How do you reach the Killer Skins menu?

Michael’s own profile screen is headed MICHAEL at top-left and carries his level as a large red number. From there the cosmetic tabs run across the top of the screen in a strip that appears on every frame on this page:

LB · APPEARANCE · STARTING WEAPON · SPECIAL ABILITIES · RB

APPEARANCE is the skin list, and its header at top-left reads KILLER SKINS. The bottom-left prompt is B Back. Two things worth knowing before you read the tables:

  • The header follows the tab. Move to STARTING WEAPON and the top-left header becomes STARTING WEAPON, while the layout stays identical — the Pick-Axe row at 7:04 reads STARTING WEAPON / PICK-AXE / “Reach Profile Level 60”. That is why the requirement line can be trusted as a menu convention rather than a skin-specific annotation: locked and unlocked items across all three tabs use the same slot.
  • The tints are a sub-menu, not part of the skin row. Selecting 1978 on the APPEARANCE tab shows an X Tints button instead of A Equip. Pressing it opens a second screen whose header reads 1978, whose item label reads TINT, and whose portrait row is replaced by a row of flat colour swatches.

The creator’s spoken directions for the underlying tracks are worth carrying even though none of them is printed on a skin screen: he says the prestige option is “in the graveyard” and that you should press Y, or triangle on PlayStation, to reach it (2:03), and that the challenge collections are opened from the same graveyard menu under Challenges (2:34). Character level, prestige and the challenge tracks are described at a system level in the progression and customization guide, which is deliberately vague about which cosmetics exist — that gap is what this page fills.

What does a skin screen actually print?

Five blocks, in a fixed order:

  1. A tab header at top-left (KILLER SKINS, or 1978 inside the tint sub-menu) and the LB / APPEARANCE / STARTING WEAPON / SPECIAL ABILITIES / RB strip.
  2. A small item label above the name — KILLER SKINS for the seven portraits, TINT for the colour variants.
  3. The skin name in large type, exactly as the game spells it: 1978, PHANTOM, GHOST, CLOWN, STITCHED, SCORCHED, SAMHAIN, and TINT 1 through TINT 6.
  4. Either an action button (A Equip, or X Tints on 1978) or a one- or two-line unlock requirement. Never both.
  5. A portrait strip along the bottom with a checkmark on the equipped skin, a selection box on the highlighted one, a padlock glyph on each locked one, and a left and right paging arrow.

That fourth block is the useful one. The menu draws exactly one distinction — this slot holds a button versus this slot holds a requirement — and it is a state distinction, not a source distinction. No skin screen anywhere in this footage carries a price, a currency icon, an edition name, a “buy” prompt or a store link. The two owned skins are visually indistinguishable from a skin you would earn by finishing a challenge list; the only difference is that they are already unlocked on the recording account.

What does each Michael Myers skin require?

The strip’s own order is 1978, Phantom, Ghost, Clown, Stitched, Scorched, Samhain, and the five locked portraits each carry a padlock glyph. The blocks below follow the order the video opens them, and every “nth in the strip” note is read off the portrait row.

1978

Screen statesValue
Name1978 — first in the strip, checkmark on its portrait
Action slotX Tints button, no unlock line
Strip stateUnlocked, currently equipped

The only skin in the row that opens a second menu. Its tint sub-menu is where most of the remaining unlock lines on this page live. Watch at 0:24.

PHANTOM

Screen statesValue
NamePHANTOM — second in the strip
Action slotA Equip button, no unlock line
Strip stateUnlocked, no padlock glyph

The glowing blue look, with white-lit eyes. The screen itself says nothing about where it came from. Watch at 0:40.

GHOST

Screen statesValue
NameGHOST — third in the strip, padlock glyph
Unlock line“Complete All Chapter Challenges”
Also printedNothing — no chapter count, no list, no prologue mention

The single shortest requirement in the menu, and the only one gated on story chapters rather than a named collection. Whether the prologue counts as a chapter is exactly the kind of thing the official overview declines to settle; the single-player story mode guide and the prologue challenges page cover what the chapter structure actually contains. The creator adds one spoken gloss: “when you guys are also completing these chapters … you also unlock the styles for other characters in the game” (1:02).

One chapter screen does print a cosmetic reward, and it is the only place outside the skins menu where this page found one: the screen headed CHAPTER 1 / THE ROAD TO HADDONFIELD carries a COMPLETION REWARD slot labelled OUTFIT 3 with a claimed badge (1:15). Read it carefully before applying it — the screen never says which character OUTFIT 3 belongs to, and the name matches nothing in the KILLER SKINS row, so it is not evidence for Ghost or for any skin on this page.

STITCHED

Screen statesValue
NameSTITCHED — fifth in the strip, padlock glyph
Unlock line“Complete ‘Legend of Haddonfield’ in the ‘1978 Michael’ Progressive Challenge Collection”
Also printedNothing — no tier number, no reward preview

One named challenge, not a whole collection: the line asks for ‘Legend of Haddonfield’ specifically. The ‘1978 Michael’ Progressive Challenge Collection is a real, selectable row in the challenge menu — at 3:12 the screen reads PROGRESSIVE CHALLENGES / 1978 MICHAEL / A Select. The creator reads the same requirement aloud at 2:34 and then warns about one of its tiers: “stock uh marker on 60 victim. That’s a lot of victim, by the way.” That last part is his comment on camera, not a line the skin screen prints — though the challenge card he scrolls to immediately after opening that collection does carry a matching number, reading PROGRESSIVE CHALLENGE / Stalker Boy / “Successfully reach a Tier 2 Stalk Marker on 60 victims” against a 37/60 bar (3:25). The skin screen itself never names which challenge in the collection is the one it wants.

CLOWN

Screen statesValue
NameCLOWN — fourth in the strip, padlock glyph
Unlock line“Reach Profile Prestige Level 1”
Also printedNothing — no level number, no challenge name

The full-face paint and multi-colour jumpsuit look. The creator’s spoken version of this line is “you have to reach a level of 100 to basically get the clown Michael Myers” (2:03) — 100 appears nowhere on the skin screen, so read it as his explanation of what prestige level 1 costs, not as game text. The only definition of prestige anywhere in the footage is on a separate screen headed PROFILE PRESTIGE, which reads: “Attempt to complete a Prestige Challenge in time to advance your Prestige Level. You can only attempt one Prestige Challenge at a time.” with a red warning beneath it: “If you do not complete the challenge in time, you will have to use more Perk Points to try again.” (2:30). Perk Points and how you spend them are covered in the perk cards guide.

SCORCHED

Screen statesValue
NameSCORCHED — sixth in the strip, padlock glyph
Unlock line“Reach Michael Myers Prestige Level 1”
Also printedNothing

Read this row next to Clown’s, because the game is doing something precise here: two different prestige tracks, both reaching level 1, both costing a skin. “Profile Prestige” versus “Michael Myers Prestige” is the menu’s own wording, and it is the clearest evidence on this page that progression is layered per-character rather than account-wide. The all-civilians screen-by-screen page notes the same asymmetry from the survivor side — its character screens show a Prestige button on every Civilian too. The creator’s own reading is hedged, and he misquotes this line out loud: at 4:06 he says “it does say reach Michael Myers prestige level 100” and then “I believe that all of these got their own level up”, while the screen prints Level 1. Take the printed number.

SAMHAIN

Screen statesValue
NameSAMHAIN — seventh and last in the strip, padlock glyph
Unlock line“Complete Tier 5 of ‘The Shape’s Approval’ in the ‘Shape Mastery’ Passive Challenge Collection”
Also printedNothing — no tier list, no time limit

The deepest requirement in the row, and the creator calls it the hardest skin for that reason: “people think that this one is the hardest. I believe that this one is the hardest … you have to get complete five tiers of the shape” (5:09). Note the shape of the line — a tier inside a named chain inside a Passive Challenge Collection, three levels deep. The ‘Shape Mastery’ collection is itself gated: its own screen reads PASSIVE CHALLENGES / SHAPE MASTERY / “Reach Profile Level 80” (6:24). And there is a separate PROGRESSIVE CHALLENGES row headed SAMHAIN MICHAEL whose own line reads simply “Unlock Samhain” (7:28). Whether those two routes are the same requirement viewed from two menus, or two different requirements, is not something these screens resolve.

What do the 1978 tints require?

The X Tints button on 1978 opens a colour row of at least seven flat swatches. The first swatch carries the equipped checkmark and corresponds to TINT 1, whose screen shows the label TINT and the name TINT 1 with no unlock line at all (8:28). Swatch position matches the number: the selection box sits on swatch 4 when the name reads TINT 4, and on swatch 6 when it reads TINT 6.

Five tint screens were captured with a printed requirement, and they split into the same two families as the skins above.

Tint 3 sits between two other 1978 Michael collection gates. Watch at 8:32.

Tint 4 requirement line for the 1978 Michael Myers skin in Halloween The Game naming the Last Second Denial challenge

The last of the three tints gated on the same collection. Watch at 8:48.

Tint 5 requirement line for the 1978 Michael Myers skin in Halloween The Game naming tier five of A Study in Terror

Tint 5 asks for tier 5 of ‘A Study in Terror’; the screen never says how many tiers that chain has. Watch at 8:40.

Tint 6 requirement line for the 1978 Michael Myers skin in Halloween The Game naming tier four of Calculated Cruelty

Tint 6 needs tier 4, not tier 5 — the two Stalking tints are not on the same rung. Watch at 8:54.

One detail the tint screens settle that the skin screens do not: the swatch row shows padlock glyphs on swatches 2 through 6 and no lock on the seventh swatch, so at least one tint beyond the ones named here is already available on the recording account. The video never selects it.

Do the screens separate earned skins from store skins?

Not once. Grouped by what the menu actually prints, the twelve tabulated screens fall into four groups, and none of them is a purchase group:

  • Chapter-gated (1): GHOST — “Complete All Chapter Challenges”.
  • Prestige-gated (2): CLOWN on the profile track, SCORCHED on the Michael Myers track. Both stop at level 1; neither states a level cost.
  • Challenge-collection-gated (7): STITCHED and three tints inside the ‘1978 Michael’ Progressive Challenge Collection, SAMHAIN and TINT 5 and TINT 6 inside Passive Challenge Collections.
  • Already owned (2): 1978 and PHANTOM, which show buttons rather than requirements and therefore prove nothing about how they were obtained.

The thirteenth named screen, TINT 1, belongs to none of these: it is the equipped default and prints no line at all.

The edition and pre-order layer has to come from outside the menu, and it is where the two available accounts disagree. The creator identifies the first skin he opens as the pre-order one — “this was a pre-order Michael Myers. So at this moment, if you missed out on the pre-order, I do not know if they’re going to bring this one back … it’s only pre-order” (0:31) — and the skin on screen at that moment is 1978. The official publisher FAQ quoted on the physical editions page, however, states that “The Phantom Michael Myers skin is a Digital Pre-order Exclusive”. Neither claim is testable from a menu that prints no edition label, so this page records the conflict instead of picking a winner. For what each edition does cost, see the editions and price guide.

What these screens do not establish

Before you treat the tables above as a database, note every gap:

  • Whether a skin changes anything. No stat, modifier, cooldown or perk appears on any skin screen. Michael’s actual abilities live on the SPECIAL ABILITIES tab and are described there on their own terms — see the Michael Myers profile for what is officially confirmed about Killer Sense and Shape Jump.
  • Whether either row is complete. Both the seven-portrait skin strip and the tint swatch strip end in left and right paging arrows, and the video never presses them. Seven skins and at least seven tints is what one row shows, not necessarily what exists.
  • Prices and storefronts. Nothing on any screen shows a price, a currency, a discount timer or a store link.
  • Live availability of anything time-limited. If the pre-order skins really are gone, no menu here reflects that. The recording account owns them, which tells you about that account, not about the store.
  • What “All Chapter Challenges” means. No count, no chapter list, no prologue ruling.
  • What either prestige track requires. “Profile Prestige” and “Michael Myers Prestige” are printed as names only. The 100-level figure is spoken.
  • TINT 1 and the unlocked seventh swatch. One shows no requirement line; the other is never selected.
  • No version stamp. These screens carry no build number, so nothing here can be pinned to a patch. Re-verify after any major update — this is cosmetic data, but cosmetic data is exactly what a live-service game reshuffles.

    • Read off the screen (all thirteen cosmetic names, all ten unlock lines, the APPEARANCE / STARTING WEAPON / SPECIAL ABILITIES tab strip, the X Tints and A Equip buttons, the lock glyphs and the checkmark): 1978 0:24, PHANTOM 0:40, GHOST 1:52, STITCHED 2:48, CLOWN 4:00, SCORCHED 4:24, SAMHAIN 5:44, TINT 1 8:28, TINT 2 8:30, TINT 3 8:32, TINT 5 8:40, TINT 4 8:48, TINT 6 8:54. Every published frame was checked corner by corner for overlay text; a Steam overlay notification appears elsewhere in this video and no frame carrying it was used.
    • Spoken, not on screen: the pre-order claim about 1978 (0:31), the level-100 figure for prestige (2:03, 4:06), the graveyard location for prestige and challenges (2:03, 2:34), “60 victim” as a challenge cost (3:04), his belief that Samhain is the hardest skin (5:09), the claim that chapter completion also unlocks styles for other characters (1:02), and his suggestion that these challenges can be farmed in private matches (7:46). None of these is game text and none appears in a table column headed as on-screen text.
    • Deliberately excluded: the per-Civilian PROGRESSIVE CHALLENGES portrait grid at 9:36, the account XP panel, and the percentage collection panel. They belong to a different question, and no skin’s unlock line is only readable there. The chapter screens are the one exception and are used, with their limits stated, in the Ghost section above.
  • Quotation policy. Text inside quotation marks is transcribed from the game’s own on-screen text as rendered in the frames above, including its punctuation choices — the game uses a curly apostrophe inside “The Shape’s Approval” and “They Can Run, But They Can’t Hide” while quoting challenge names with straight single quotes, and that mix has been preserved rather than normalised.
  • Cross-checks. Each requirement line was re-read from the published WebP at 3× magnification before being written into the tables, the summary or the FAQ. No line is reconstructed from memory or from the creator’s spoken paraphrase; where his wording and the game’s wording differ (prestige level 1 versus “level 100”), both are shown and attributed.
